Overview

EFSTH is the largest and oldest hospital in The Gambia, founded in 1853. It is also the country’s only Teaching Hospital, operating in partnership with the University of The Gambia. It used to be called Royal Victoria Teaching hospital until 2013 when it was renamed Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital.
